If the presidential election were today, who'd get your vote? Probably Hillary Clinton, largely because she's a woman.
Whom would you most likely vote for on the Republican side? [Rudy] Giuliani is an interesting guy. A lot of his New York crime-fighting policies were interesting. He's more forward-thinking than a lot of"his Republican rivals.
Which candidate do you least want elected? [John] McCain. He's so conservative and old- fashioned that he's out of sync with the general direction of world politics and how the world is changing.
Describe the kind of president you'd like to see elected. It would be interesting to have someone who is politically aware, but runs the country more from the perspective of the business world.
For whom would you vote if today were election day? Probably [Barack] Obama. He has fresh perspectives and seems less ingrained in the political process.
Who'd be your second choice? Hillary Clinton. She has experience, and I've liked many of her ideas. She understands foreign policy. She has a lot of poise. She's a go-getter.
Which Republican would you be most likely to vote for? John McCain. I'm not crazy about his stance on the war, but he tends to adopt moderate positions on the issues.
Can Obama win, being black? I think more people are OK with that now. I suspect his lack of experience is more a liability than his skin color.
Can Hillary win, being female? Yes, but a lot of people out there take offense at her self-confidence. They think she's too uppity for a woman. They resent in- charge females.
If the presidential elections were today, who'd get your vote? I'm not all that sure who's running. If Bush were running, I'd vote for him again.
What candidate would you absolutely not vote for? I'd never vote for a woman. We don't need females in the presidency. Their place is running families, not running our country. I have no idea at this point whom I'd vote for, but I know for a fact it wouldn't be Hillary.
Can Obama win, being black? It's possible. Part of it depends on his background if he's been in the service, or if he's done something heroic.
If you could pick the next president, who would it be? Bush again. He hasn't done such a bad job. He's not going to please everybody. I don't approve of everything that's happened in Iraq, but my daughter and son-in-law both served there, and it's better than just sitting around talking.
