United Nations Day Dinner Meeting

When: Tue., Oct. 20, 6-8 p.m. 2009

Much like New Year's Day, Christmas and Free Burrito Day at Chipotle, Oct. 24 — also known as United Nations Day — is a time when people everywhere come together as one. In this case, it's to celebrate "the aims and achievements of the United Nations," as Resolution 168 so poetically puts it. In recognition, the local chapter of the United Nations Association is holding a dinner at 6 tonight in CC's Gaylord Hall (902 N. Cascade Ave., 481-1519). This buffet-style event will feature guest speaker Dr. Bernard Amadei, founder of Engineers Without Borders. Tickets are $25; RSVP's required. — Bryce Crawford

Price: $25
