Trans-Siberian Orchestra

When: Sun., Nov. 22 2015

T-S-O can mean many things, from steaming General Tso's chicken to scowling Transportation Security Officers. But for fans of pyrotechnically enhanced symphonic rock, it can only mean one thing. Since 1996, Trans-Siberian Orchestra's arena-rock spectacles have been making Meatloaf, Wagner and Michael Flatley appear bashful by comparison. TSO's Yuletide-themed extravaganzas are a Springs tradition, one that inexplicably brings out as many young couples in formal prom wear as it does Baby Boomers in Pink Floyd shirts. Nirvana for some, nightmare for others, it all takes place this afternoon at 3, and again at 7:30, in the appropriately intimate confines of the Broadmoor World Arena (3185 Venetucci Blvd., worldarena.com, $51.50-$71.50). — Bill Forman
