The real practice of parkour is in stark contrast to the dudes who do flips on YouTube — and today it gives back. The Springs-rooted Tranquil Movement, "a community-based collective that aims to focus the energy of mental, physical and spiritual awareness," is hosting a Parkour Invitational from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Acacia Park (115 E. Platte Ave., tranquilmvmt.com/tit-jam.html). The event is free, but the competition is a fundraiser for T.I.T. Jam, a campaign that benefits the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Come see about 100 of the world's best parkour athletes flip, jump and climb for a cure. — Hannah Fleming
