Park here on FSR 314A, about .4 miles from 314. After this spot there are no parking options and the road drops down a very steep slope. The slope is loose rock, and stock SUV's would have a difficult time coming back up. Park here to be safe.

After the steep downhill slope the trail makes a sharp right turn and at about .45 miles the trail crosses the South Beaver Creek and becomes a narrow single track. The trail crosses another small creek a few hundred feet after this.

The trail winds along a creek in dense woods and at about 1.2 miles breaks out in this clearing and this piece of equipment of some type.

The trail continues in the direction indicated by the arrow.

At about 1.35 miles, the trail deviates from published and online maps and makes a sharp left turn, followed by a short, steep uphill section until arriving at Forest Service Road 307A. This is your turn around point for a hike of about 3 miles total.
