“We ended up doing surveys and taste testings throughout the house,” he says. “We’ve probably pushed 200 people through our food tasting since January.”
Bercedoni’s been in the business for over 30 years; locals may know him as the former owner of the now-defunct Pikes Perk on Powers Boulevard and Research Parkway. Their current specialties are a rice bowl — think burrito bowl with house-made sofrito and hash browns — and beef empanadas. Bercedoni says they hope to add alcapurrias and other offerings in the future.
