The Shadow

When: March 5-15 2015

Yes, it would suck to be betrayed by your own shadow, assuming it was personified and all and messed up your chances with a princess. But since we don't live inside of twisted fairy tales, it's not something you have to fret over today. Instead, attend a free, 2:30 p.m. prologue lecture (reservations required) on fairy tale psychology and history, then the 4 o'clock performance of The Shadow in the Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater (3955 Regent Circle, theatreworkscs.org). Shows run March 5 through 15 for $15; visit the website for times and further description of the subtle, provocative-for-its-time, Soviet-era show that's seldom staged these days. ... And say, what's that dark thing behind you? — Matthew Schniper

Price: $35, $15 for children under 16, free for UCCS students
