The start of another year brings mixed feelings, but one thing we can count on is that changes will come.

In your mind, what's the biggest national story of the year? Health care. I think it's good for the economy, because if you have healthy workers you have strong workers.
How about the biggest local story? I heard that the Walmarts in Colorado have the highest rate of theft in the nation, and I think the stores should take more aggressive security measures.
How do you think 2014 will be remembered 10 years from now? As a mediocre year. Like, "What did you do in 2014?" "Wait for 2015."
What would you like to see happen next year? Go Raiders! And I'd like to see the U.S. take more of a fiscal interest in the people here at home. We need help, too.

What's an image from this year that will stick with you? It seems like everyone has struggled with money issues, and there's lots of depression and anger.
In your mind, what is the biggest national-level story of the year? All the slander against the president; it seems like people blame him for everything. But some people don't vote, so if you don't vote, don't complain.
How about the biggest local story? Nothing really big comes to mind, but right now I'm loving gas prices.
Imagine 10 years from now ... how will you remember 2014? I don't want to remember it. I think everyone just wants to do better next year.
What would you like to see happen next year? I'd like to see the Broncos win the Super Bowl, and for everyone to cheer up.

Is there an image from this year that will stick with you Yes, on a personal level: I went to China with my choir and we visited an orphanage there. We exchanged songs, and it was so sweet and tender.
In your mind, what's the biggest national story of the year? People talked about Ebola a lot.
In 10 years, how do you think you'll look back on 2014? For me, it was my first year in college and my first year of not being a kid anymore. Things became more real.
Are you optimistic about 2015? Absolutely; I'm excited. As a missionary, this whole next year will be about helping people find the good things in life.
What would you like to see happen? I hope I can help people find joy.
