The Long Run

When: 2009

Sure, you could fly to Salt Lake and pay $175 for the Eagles' last show before they flap off to Europe, or you could just hoist your Tequila Sunrise high while warbling along to the Long Run. It's unlikely that anyone in this Denver tribute band has snorted quite so much cocaine with Stevie Nicks, but you'll still hear much the same music (although less from the recent Wal-Mart album) and you'll only pay 10 bucks at a venue more intimate than the Sunset Strip clubs where the Eagles first took flight. The show gets underway at 8 p.m. at the appropriately avian Thirsty Parrot (32 S. Tejon St., thirstyparrot.net), so start practicing those dueling air guitars now. — Bill Forman
