The Little Prince

When: June 18-July 3 2015

This Thursday, local stages offer a choice between emotional sweetness or weighty whimsy. One comes in a stage adaptation of The Little Prince — the French novella and third most-translated book in the world — by Funky Little Theater Co. (2109 Templeton Gap Road, funkylittletheater.org). Directed by Kaitlin Porter, it plays tonight at 7 p.m.; tickets are $15. Another option is Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park — called "the original Dharma & Greg"— tonight at 7:30 by the Star Bar Players at Cottonwood Center for the Arts' David H. Lord Theater (427 E. Colorado Ave., starbarplayers.org). Tickets are likewise $15. — Bryce Crawford

Price: $10-$15
