The Incomparable Modern Art Debut Of Steven Gordon

When: May 4-31 2012

According to his bio, artist Steven Gordon works in faux painting, and once painted in Marlene Dietrich's former Paris apartment. Gordon is also fond of creating in a free-form manner, using found objects and letting the "projects 'choose' their own materials." Take, for instance, a trio of doll torsos limbed with chicken legs and human ears, each topped with a white songbird. Catch him at The Incomparable Modern Art Debut of Steven Gordon at Sabi (330 N. Institute St., 471-4237), opening tonight and running through the end of the month. Festivities kick off at 7 and feature music by the Good Morning Accordion Terrorist. — Edie Adelstein
