Since its opening last November, Rawkus (3506 N. Academy Blvd., rawkusnation.com) has dipped into numerous genres, combining a heavy DJ presence with everything from hard rock to hip-hop to an over-the-top Daft Punk tribute. The club has also had success with '80s pop acts like the English Beat, who return tonight after packing the venue less than six months ago. Frontman Dave Wakeling has lost neither his talent nor charm, leading his current lineup through razor-sharp renditions of "Save it for Later," "Mirror in the Bathroom," and other hook-ridden ska-pop hits.
