The Almagre Review Premiere Celebration

When: Wed., July 27, 4:30-7:30 p.m. 2016

Issue Number One, it's a big deal for any publication. The thrill of the deadline has passed — for now — and the pain and consternation should, hopefully, fade into a sense of pride once you're staring down at your newly printed pages. The first edition of The Almagre Review, A Colorado Literary Journal for the West, themed "Coming Home" and including works from local artists, poets and writers, is available for the first time today. And because a first printing is reason to blow off some steam, local literature lovers are invited to preview the Review's first edition with a meet and greet over refreshments, and readings from the inaugural issue at Hooked On Books. Submissions for upcoming issues are welcome, so stop by to learn more about the Review, future themes and how to get involved. 4:30 p.m., 12 E. Bijou St., free to attend, thealmagrereview.org. — Craig Lemley
