When: Thu., Sept. 19, 4:30 p.m. 2013
a unique show in which bio-artist Nurit Bar-Shai and composer and CC professor Ofer Ben-Amots will collaborate to "create sound-generated topography for bacteria. During the performance, audio waves are transmitted through liquid agar medium as it solidifies. The shapes created through the sound experiments will affect the bacteria, creating different patterns that will emerge as they grow." On Sat., Sept. 21 at 1:30 p.m., Bar-Shai will seed the bacteria into the plates made at the performance, after which they will grow into the wave forms made at the show through the duration of the exhibit.
