Sunset Boulevard

When: Tue., July 31, 6:30 p.m. 2012

Batman fans got so baneful over a few negative reviews of The Dark Knight Rises that had to shut down its user comments. But will people still be watching, and arguing over, the film six decades from now? Only few films have the staying power of Sunset Boulevard, Billy Wilder's cautionary tale out of Hollywood, circa 1950. At 6:30 tonight at CC's Cornerstone Arts Center (825 N. Cascade Ave.), professors Dylan Nelson and Clay Haskell will screen the film, then analyze and discuss it — quite civilly, I'd guess — as part of the school's free Summer Film Series. — Kirk Woundy
