Billy Wilder was awesome. Before passing away in 2002, he either wrote, produced or directed — and usually all three — films like Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch and Sunset Boulevard. He was one of the few people to ever win three Academy Awards for one film, and his 12 nominations for screenwriting rank as one of the highest totals ever. So go see his World War II-era prison camp flick Stalag 17, part of the Pioneers Museum's WWII programming, at 6:30 tonight at Stargazers Theatre and Event Center (10 S. Parkside Drive, stargazerstheatre.com). Five bucks plus one non-perishable food item gets you some (film and fighting) history. — Bryce Crawford
Price: $5, plus one non-perishable food item.
