Solo Works Festival: Gary Busey's One-Man Hamlet

When: Nov. 12-14, 7:30-9:30 p.m. and Nov. 15-14, 2-4 p.m. 2015

The existence of actor David Carl's award-winning solo play, Gary Busey's One Man Hamlet, is perplexing and worrisome, but the show has been well-reviewed by theatrical publications in New York, England and Scotland alike. To pinch a quote from the Bard himself, "Though this be madness, yet there is method in't." Expect everything from puppets to projectors, all deployed and driven by Carl and his maniacal impression of the storied actor. The play opens at 7:30 tonight at the Millibo Art Theatre (1626 S. Tejon St., 465-6321, themat.org), with daily shows through Sunday. Tickets run $16 to $18 today, and $22 to $25 with VIP options for all other days. — Griffin Swartzell
