Sober Stick Figure Book Launch

When: Wed., June 8, 7 p.m. 2016

Comedian and Pueblo native Amber Tozer illustrates her memoir, Sober Stick Figure, with pencil stick figure drawings — a little ugly, yes, but earnest and all the more effective for it. They fit with her story, a harrowing journey from overachieving student athlete to bingeing alcoholic to sober screenwriter. To help launch her book, Tozer is returning to the restaurant her mother still owns, Pueblo's Do Drop Inn. She's bringing comedian John Bueno to host the event. Also, expect live music from in/PLANES, the side project from Desirae Garcia and Inaiah Lujan of Haunted Windchimes fame. Tozer will be signing copies of the book, but there will only be so many copies for purchase on-site — support your local bookstore and pick one up in advance to make sure. 7 p.m., 944 E. Kimble Drive, Pueblo, $15 includes dinner buffet, — Griffin Swartzell
