If you're an unaffiliated voter, you've received both the Republican and Democratic ballots in the mail for the June 26 primary election. You can only vote one of them. If you return both ballots, neither will be counted. Those who are registered Republicans and Democrats will get their party's ballot; those who are registered with a minor party won't get ballots.
If you haven't received a ballot by now, contact the El Paso County Elections Department at 575-8683. If you were late registering to vote, you may not receive a mail ballot. You can also vote in person (and register the same day) at a Voter Service Center. Locations: tinyurl.com/epprimary.
Be aware that it will be a public record which ballot you cast, although who you voted for will remain private. Ballots must be received by the Clerk and Recorder's Office by 7 p.m. on June 26. For drop-off locations, visit tinyurl.com/yakwfosz.
