Sky Sox Baseball

When: May 1-2, 6:35 p.m. and May 4-5, 11:05 a.m. 2016

The sun is shining — hopefully — and the Colorado Rockies, er, I mean, the Milwaukee Brewers are already trying to keep afloat in the standings: It's officially baseball season. Sky Sox fans were dealt a blow earlier this year when news came of the team's interest in relocating to a proposed new downtown stadium in San Antonio, Texas, and the controversy surrounding the decision thereafter. But it's not yet time to say goodbye to the local outfit for good (perhaps not even until 2019), so you may want to get as much Sox action as you can before they head to the Alamo City. Set your lingering questions aside — What of Security Service Field, or the hot tub patio? Oh no, WHAT ABOUT SOX THE FOX?! — hide your emotions and enjoy today's matinee matchup against the Texas Rangers' affiliate, the Round Rock Express. As the saying goes, "There's no crying in baseball." 11:05 a.m., 4385 Tutt Blvd., tickets start at $13, coloradosprings.skysox.milb.com. — Craig Lemley
