Shatter the Silence

When: Wed., Dec. 16, 5 p.m. 2015

According to Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention, suicide stands as the No. 2 killer of those between 15 and 44 years old in El Paso County. As just one means of outreach, the group is co-organizing the free Shatter the Silence Citywide High School Art Show from 5 to 8 tonight at PPLD's Library 21c (1175 Chapel Hills Drive, pikespeaksuicideprevention.org). Participants in PPSP's Children Left Behind by Suicide program will be among the exhibitors, responding artistically to the questions: "What is it like for a teen to lose someone to suicide?" "Why do some teens have suicidal thoughts?" and "What helps a teenager avoid suicidal thoughts?" Matthew Schniper
