Rocket in my Beer

When: Sat., Nov. 14, 1-5 p.m. 2015

You may have heard about Ninkasi Brewing Co.'s Ground Control Imperial Stout, released earlier in 2015. It was a very limited batch of bombers featuring yeast that the Oregon-based brewery had launched into space. Pretty cool, if pointless, and I only think of it because of the title of today's third annual Rocket in My Beer event at the Space Foundation Discovery Center (4425 Arrowswest Drive, spacefoundation.org). This "Taste of Space Technology" features samples from 13 Colorado breweries, and your $30 admission ($26.75 early-bird) also gets you museum admission and a sandwich, plus an explanation of "how space technology makes beer better." Stellar all around. — Matthew Schniper

Price: $25-$30
