ReVibe Pilates & Bodywork Best Of

Best Of 2012: Pilates Studio

Wrapping yourself in silk and hanging from the ceiling puts a whole new twist on a workout, and that's the goal of ReVibe co-owner Trish Doyle-Stahl. The Pilates studio that also offers bodywork has been in a few locations in the past few years, and has found a new home tucked behind Tejon Street, next to the lululemon store across from Old Chicago. With the downtown spot, Doyle-Stahl plans to offer a lunchtime power Barre fitness class as well as lunchtime chair massages by her husband (and co-owner) Kenny Stahl. But her Saturday Pilates mat class has typically been the most popular, along with ball classes and the aforementioned aerial silks. — Sonja Bjelland

Best Pilates Studio

Pilates is good for the mind, body and soul — just ask Trish Doyle-Stahl, co-owner of ReVibe Pilates & Bodywork. "It's not just a workout for the body, it's the whole connection," she says. "It stretches and strengthens you at the same time." With decades of cumulative experience, the folks at ReVibe deliver a workout that is "low in impact, and high in results." Afterward, plan to relax with a massage, or check out the hot stone treatment. All things considered, it's hard to imagine why someone wouldn't want to visit this studio. Says Doyle-Stahl: "It helps people get their quality of life back." — Ken Voeller
