President Trump's remarks after his private meeting with President Vladimir Putin — blaming both countries for the Russian interference in our 2016 presidential election and siding with Putin over the conclusion of Trump's own director of national intelligence, former Sen. Dan Coats — received harsh reviews from congressional Republicans: "stunning," "despicable," "shameful" and "bizarre." Sen. John McCain lamented "one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory." "Treasonous," exclaimed ex-CIA chief John Brennan. However, of three Colorado Republicans weighing in thus far, only Rep. Mike Coffman has admonished Mr. Trump by name.
Enough is enough. The president's rank incompetence and dangerous judgments can be remedied by removal from office via impeachment or the 25th Amendment. Where do Colorado's members of the House and Senate stand on this most critical dilemma?
