Reader: Like being robbed by the Tooth Fairy

This is how far Republicans are willing to go: They overturn a rule that would have allowed consumers to file class actions against banks. So if the plaintiffs (like myself) win, we get a check for $3 when we were robbed of thousands and the bank only had to pay a few million in damages. Chump change. What's even more nauseating is that the banks dished out a few million anyway to bribe the thugs who voted for it. So, in essence they would rather pay out a few million to their own kind rather than divvy out $3 checks to the "losers" who vote for them. It's like being robbed by the Tooth Fairy.

Even more nauseating than that: One way or the other we'll get robbed anyway. At least scratch me a check so I can drown my sorrows in a 40oz. But isn't that what it's come down to in this country? A ruthless political party wasting untold time and money enacting pointless legislation to stick it to millions they don't consider as worthy as they are. All over a matter of three dollars.
