Did Kerry's acceptance speech sway you in any way? No way whatsoever. He didn't say anything. I thought the rest of the convention was fantastic, and everyone spoke to the problems of the Democratic Party, but not Kerry. He didn't live up to my expectations.
Are you voting in next week's primary? I've been coming to Colorado Springs every year since 1988 to run in the Pikes Peak Marathon. I'm 88 years old and I train on the mountain seven days a week. I'd vote for Mike Miles if I could, but I'm not registered to vote here.
Have any political ads caught your attention? I despise Bush's commercials and I don't think much of Kerry's. Basically, they all suck.

Did Kerry's acceptance speech last Thursday sway you one way or another? Not at all. I long ago decided that I'll vote for any halfway decent candidate running against Bush, and Kerry is a lot better than Bush.
Are you voting in the primaries next week? I've lived here two years, and last year I didn't know enough about local politics to vote. This year I know a little more, so I'll vote this time.
Is there a race or issue particularly important to you? I think the teachers deserve to have their union. They need someone in their corner. They're traditionally poorly paid, and they have one of the most important jobs. They need better pay.
Are the political ads on television getting a response out of you? I don't like negative politics. Instead of bashing each other, I wish they'd talk about the issues and what they can do.
Were you influenced in any way by Kerry's acceptance speech? Not really. I was already for Kerry. He reinforced my feeling that we need a change.
Are you voting in the primaries next week? Yeah. It's an important right that I don't want to lose.
Is there a candidate or issue you're following with particular interest? I'm a big supporter of Ken Salazar for the Senate. He'd do a good job.
For good or ill, has any political ad caught your attention? Not a one. They're all pretty much political rhetoric. You're not going to learn anything about the issues from a TV ad.
