Pony Hunt, Chela Lujan

When: Thu., May 5, 7 p.m. 2016

It's easy to understand why Pony Hunt wins over Haunted Windchimes fans and vice versa. Both bands share an ardent devotion to Huddie Ledbetter, Blind Willie McTell and a constellation of other folk, blues and ragtime pioneers. So it's only natural that Windchimes co-founder Chela Lujan and her side project The Hardly Nevers are sharing bills with the Oakland-based group at Colorado stops on its current tour. You can catch them together tonight at Front Range Barbeque, 7 p.m., 2330 W. Colorado Ave., free, 632-2596, frbbq.com, and again tomorrow night at Songbird Cellars, 8 p.m., 220 S. Union Ave., Pueblo, $8, 485-7664, songbirdcellars.com. — Bill Forman
