New Work

When: Oct. 14-Nov. 4 2011

There's more going on tonight than any mere mortal can handle — and we don't mean the Gavin DeGraw show at the Thirsty Parrot (32 S. Tejon St., thirstyparrot.net) — but, just like the honey badger, you don't give a shit: you're hitting it all. The night starts with the free opening of the Intersections Film Festival, which starts at 5 p.m. at GOCA 1420 at UCCS (1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy., uccs.edu/~iff) before moving over to Centennial Hall. Then trip the art fantastic at the Modbo (17C E. Bijou St., themodbo.wordpress.com), and next door at S.P.Q.R., as the galleries host kick-ass works from Denver's Davoth and local-genius Phil Lear, respectively. Lastly, it's the first night of Theatre 'd Art's (128 N. Nevada Ave., theatredart.org) free horror production Grand Guignol, which begins at 8. — Bryce Crawford
