NAMI/VEDA Haircut-a-thon

When: Tue., Dec. 8, 12-5:30 p.m. 2015

A good haircut is expensive, especially for women. Nice places like Veda Salon start at $35 for a woman's cut. But today, people of any gender expression can get a bargain cut from Veda stylists at CC's Worner Center (920 N. Cascade Ave.) while giving to the National Alliance on Mental Illness' Give! campaign. As part of the NAMI/Veda Haircut-a-thon, you can get your hair whacked for a donation of at least $10. The event only runs from noon to 5:30, so register early at, as the added allure of free food, drink and live music will draw a crowd. — Griffin Swartzell

Price: $10 suggested donation
