Mile High Horror Film Festival

When: Thu., Oct. 1, Fri., Oct. 2, Sat., Oct. 3 and Sun., Oct. 4 2015

Lisa and Louise Burns are still best-known as the scary twins who stand hand-in-hand at the end of a long hallway, imploring us to come play with them "forever and ever and ever" in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. The scene is somehow more disturbing than it should be, thanks in large part to their unison voices and Diane Arbus-like "otherness." Thirty-five acting-free years later, the Shining Twins will be appearing 6 p.m. this evening as part of the Mile High Horror Film Festival. The four-day event runs Oct. 1 through 4 at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (7301 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton), and you can find more info at bit.ly/1NXHmSz. — Bill Forman

Price: $189-339
