- Bad Wolves
Sunshine Studios, meanwhile, plays host to Los Angeles-based metal supergroup Bad Wolves on Friday, July 6, joined by From Ashes to New and Diamante. Bad Wolves, which comprises former members of Divine Heresy, Snot, DevilDriver, God Forbid, Bury Your Dead, In This Moment and others, made a dent on multiple Billboard charts early this year with their certified Gold (and certified Platinum in Canada) cover of The Cranberries’ inimitable track “Zombie.”
The late Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan was actually slated to perform on Bad Wolves’ cover, but she passed away before recording it. In advance of the band’s debut album, Disobey, they released “Zombie” as a single, and pledged to donate the proceeds to O’Riordan’s four children, presenting a check for $250,000 to her family at their recent show at New York’s Gramercy Theatre. In addition to their charitable generosity, Bad Wolves’ string of chart success hasn’t let up, either, with Disobey hitting No. 22 on Billboard’s Top 200 following its May 11 release.
The Sunshine Studios heaviness continues on Sunday, July 8, with Melbourne-based hard rockers Dellacoma, which features guitarist Jasin Todd, formerly of post-grunge act Shinedown. Joining Dellacoma in support are ghostRADIO, Gravel and Heliosheath.
