Do you think our city leaders could decide to ban recreational marijuana? Yes, because it's still against the law federally. I can see Colorado Springs banning it, but not Denver or Boulder.
Were you surprised when state voters legalized it? Yes, actually, I was surprised. I thought it would lake a little longer because there's no good way to regulate it, like there is with alcohol.
Why do you think marijuana is so controversial? I'm not sure why it's such a big deal. I do think it's addictive in some ways but people who like it will do it anyway, legal or not.
What are the odds you'll see marijuana legalized nationally in your lifetime? Pretty good, unless we start to see huge negative incidents from its use.

Why do you think marijuana is generally so controversial? Because of the dissonance between the user's perception and the non-user's perception. I think it can provide some benefits, but it's not a wonder drug.

Do you think you'll see marijuana legalized nationally in your lifetime? Yes, if there's enough communication about it. The sales taxes could go toward providing good services, but I think some buyers aren't used to paying taxes.
