What's so crazy about March Madness? It's 70 degrees one day and 30 the next, and college basketball fever comes to a boil.
Who's going to make the Final Four this year? The University of Connecticut, and ... I have no idea who the other three will be.
How about the women's Final Four? It'll be the U-Conn women ... and I have no idea who the other three will be there, either.
Who is this year's Cinderella team -- the prohibitive underdog who will slay a Goliath or two before getting knocked off? I want to say Gonzaga, but they're pretty much a perennial power by now.
Predict this year's Final Four. I'd say Duke and Louisville will be two of them.
If you could pick this year's national champ, which school would it be? Memphis U. because they had such a heartbreaking loss last week. They deserve to be in the tournament and probably won't be now.
If you could select this year's Cinderella team, whom would you pick? The Air Force Academy.
Why does it matter who wins the national championship? It doesn't, but it matters a lot to my husband. I watch the games only because they're on the TV nonstop at our house.
What's so mad about March Madness? Fans go crazy over it. It's just good, escapist fun.
Who are your picks for the Final Four? Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Connecticut.
How about the women's Final Four? It looks like Stanford and Michigan State have good teams.
If you had to put a hundred bucks on a Cinderella team, whom would you bet on? Gonzaga. They're a small school in a small conference and they don't play the big boys regularly. Also, my daughter goes to Whithworth College, just a couples miles down the road from Gonzaga in Spokane.
Why does it matter who wins? It doesn't. It's just fun.
