Love's Labor's Lost

Even if Love's Labor's Lost is one of Shakespeare's more obscure pieces of theater, that still would place the comedy high in the ranking of Best Use of the English Language, like, ever. The story: Four men swear off sex for their studies. Four women arrive soon thereafter. Hilarity ensues, with all the eccentricity and grandiloquent banter you'd expect of the Bard. TheatreWorks' out-of-doors version opens at 7:30 tonight at Rock Ledge Ranch (3105 Gateway Road; The show runs Tuesdays through Saturdays through the 25th, with a final performance on the 26th.
