Lost in Battle

When: Sun., Dec. 13, 3 p.m. 2015

After 51 years, the Pikes Peak Philharmonic is still wowing us with local talent, and they are putting on one epic concert today. Lost in Battle features some hard-hitting themes of war that you'll probably recognize: Duel of the Fates from Star Wars and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture to name just two. This is also your chance to hear the posthumous premiere of Pikes Peak Fanfare composed by Mark Kellner. Don't forget to bring some tissues to Mitchell High School (1205 Potter Drive, pikespeakphil.org/index.html) this afternoon. There will be a pre-concert lecture by Maestro Luciano R. Silvestri Jr., the orchestra's conductor, at 2:15, and the music starts at 3. Tickets are $5 to $10. — Alissa Smith

Price: $5-$10
