How would you rate the condition of Colorado Springs' streets? Well, they aren't fantastic. Especially with all the potholes, and I have a lower car.
What do you think is to blame? Probably the snow, and the snowplows that get caught on uneven parts of the streets.
Why do you think people get so upset about potholes? Because some you can't avoid, or you can't even see them until it's too late.
What's the worst pothole you know of in town right now? On I-25, by Nevada. Right in the middle of the middle lane. And Southgate is pretty bad, too.
Would you be willing to pay more in taxes to fix them? Yes, because it's not just one pothole here or there. They're everywhere.

How would you rate the condition of the city's streets? Not good. With the weather it's understandable that new potholes pop up all the time, but it doesn't seem that the city really cares. I bike most places, but even the bike lanes have terrible potholes.
How big a deal do you think it is, to have lots of potholes? I think it shows a negative vibe to visitors and shows the city doesn't really care.
If it's a money issue, would you be willing to pay more in taxes? Yes, if the money just went to fixing potholes.
Why do people get so upset about them? They've probably hit them once or twice before, and find that the potholes are still there.
Where is the worst pothole you know of in town right now? There are some in the bike lane around Tejon and Brookside, and they've been there about five years.

How would you rate the condition of the city's streets? The potholes are definitely an issue. It seems worse downtown, but Marksheffel Road is bad, too.
What do you think is to blame? I would say the city government, and the contractors need to be held responsible. Is hot tar and gravel really the way to go? It doesn't last very long.
Do you think it's a big deal to have lots of potholes? Yes, absolutely. I think Colorado Springs is a tourist town. We have a lot to offer, but the fact is that the city is dirty. Clean it up!
What's the worst pothole you know of in town right now? Downtown. It was on Cascade or Tejon; I was parking, hit a pothole, and it blew out my tire.
