Dear Ms. Lange:

I have a question that I hope you can answer. Please know that this question leads to other questions that I also hope you'll respond to, but when in doubt please answer the first question.

If the first question produces a need to discourse on issues unrelated to the question, that's OK as long as you answer the first question.

If the first question causes sweatiness, nausea or other discomfort feel free to answer the follow-up questions before returning to the first question.

If the first question, in combination with the other questions, find you reassessing the motivation behind this inquiry, immediately proceed to the first question.

The first question:

What did the jewelry business do before the term bling and/or bling-bling?

Has bling helped business one way or the other?

As a result of bling, have jewelers started using other hip-hop buzzwords including, but not limited to, phat, playa hata and I'm Rick James, bitch?

I realize you're busy and appreciate your time. Again, please address the first question before proceeding to the subsequent questions.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Cleaver
