Dear Toll Brothers:
A few thoughts on your new development in Castle Rock entitled The Summit at Castle Pines Village.
The following is from your own publicity material:
Imagine unwinding in a luxurious, gated, master-planned community surrounded by acres of untouched nature, the statement reads. A place minutes from every convenience, yet at the same time worlds away.
Hate to pee on your New Age novella, but if you're trying to sell me untouched nature, why do I need a gated community? To stave off coyotes? John Ashcroft? I mean, the Plains Indians were wiped out a long time ago. Didn't you see that Costner film?
I'm certainly intrigued by the possibility of owning a $600,000 luxury home of stone and stucco exterior in immediate proximity to an identical model. As your copy reads, A place with the esteem of a gated community and the prestige of two of Colorado's finest golf courses.
A guy like me is always on the make for esteem and prestige. Unfortunately, the cognitive dissonance may be more than I can take. Some clarification is in order.
