Juneteenth Caribbean Heritage Festival

Fountain's own Juneteenth Caribbean Heritage Festival, a 150-year-old celebration of slaves' emancipation and African-American culture, kicks off at 5:30 tonight at the Freedom Awards Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn (2035 Aerotech Drive, The official registration date may have passed, but $100 per person and an RSVP can still let you enjoy speaker Dr. H. Malcolm Newton and the percussion of Black Hands Drum Ensemble. Feed your appetite for food and culture at the festival itself, which starts tomorrow and runs from 10 to 8 in John Metcalfe Memorial Park (750 E.
