Now in its 31st year, Josh & John’s (joshandjohns.com) has announced a third location in the Flying Horse neighborhood, at 2710 Northgate Blvd. The shop will open in Spring of 2018.

“I’m hopeful that the people who live there will take Josh & John’s under their wing, as they did in Mountain Shadows,” says co-owner John Krakauer. He says it’s the first time Josh & John’s has been able to design the interior from scratch, rather than converting from an existing business. The new location will have ice cream made on-site and will feature a patio with garage door access.

In other news, Josh & John’s Mountain Shadows location (6896 Centennial Blvd.) will undergo a major renovation in January. Krakauer says the location will close, but only for a few days, he hopes.

“Once we reopen it — we’ve been there for five years — we’re going to be offering dollar scoops for one day [at that location],” he says.
