When we head out on the town, we face choices every way we turn. Do we go to that place that we love so much or try a new spot? Do we order our favorite beer or test out something different? The options are endless.
What's the best drink you've ever invented? I call it a "Warren." I named it after a friend. It's a white chocolate mocha but it's frozen in a blender. So like an iced white chocolate mocha with caramel.
Do you know any good hangover cures? Burgers. Greasy burgers.
What's your favorite spot for local music? It was the Rocket Room, but I guess that's not really going to be around anymore, so I'm going to have to find something new. [Editor's note: More on the Rocket Room's future is included in Reverb, on p. 82.]
What do you like about that venue? They didn't have outrageous cover charges. They always had something different. They had two or three bands lined up, usually. And it's got a great dance floor.
What's the best drink you've ever invented? Oh, I invented a drink called "Mother's Milk" for a friend who was breastfeeding and didn't want caffeine in a coffee drink. It was a decaf coffee drink and had a shot of some soothing sort of flavoring.
Do you know any good hangover cures? Probably I would just drink a Bloody Mary.
What's the best reason you use to go out to eat? There's no food in the house.
What's the craziest nocturnal adventure you've ever had? I went to the movies once in a very small town with four friends, and we got there five minutes late so they didn't show the movie.
What's your favorite drink to order when you go out? A chocolate milk. It's so good, but you have to have the right balance between chocolate and milk.
What's the best drink you've ever invented? It was called "The Contraption." It was vodka, Bacardi Dragon Berry, cranberry juice, lemon and lime juice, simple syrup and club soda.
Do you know any good hangover cures? I don't get hangovers, but if I ever did I would probably just chug lots of water.
What's the best occasion for going out? Birthdays. I like going out on people's birthdays, even if it was three weeks ago and it's not their birthday anymore.
