Is President Bush right to oppose stem cell research? We need stem cell research. Bush's opposition is strictly political. His main backing is the conservative right, and they're the ones opposing it.
Does space exploration have a future? I'm all for it. It expands our understanding of who we are by letting us see things from an outside-of-this-world point of view.
What's in store for labor unions? I don't see a future. They push the economy in the wrong direction. They make prices go up. The market will dictate prices and the media will reveal whatever inequities go on.

Will Rove fall? He definitely should, but he probably won't. The Republicans are doing a good job of keeping him out of the spotlight. I get the New York Times i> headlines in my inbox every morning, and it's amazing how Rove is never the lead story, the way he would be if this had happened when Clinton was president.
What's your read on stem cell research? I've heard a number of stories about the process used -- whether you can get them from placentas, or they have to come from aborted fetuses. I'm not sure which is true.
What do we get out of space exploration? There are sideways benefits from all scientific and technological research. I'm learning in the Web design classes I'm taking that work being done on network systems for refrigerators and appliances was applied to the Internet to it to make it what it is today. The benefits aren't always clear at first.
Is Rove going down? It's complicated. First Bush said he'd fire anyone who leaked information to expose a CIA agent. Now he says he'll only fire someone convicted of lawbreaking.
How do you view stem cell research? I can see how people would be conflicted, but 58 percent of people, including a majority of both Republicans and Democrats, think this research could help cure Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and such. We should do this research, like they do in most countries.
Is space exploration worth the cost? The shuttle isn't safe. We should continue, but we need something besides the space shuttle.
What's in the cards for labor unions? The future doesn't look good, does it? They were great when they started out, but now they have a bad name, deservedly or not. They'll stay around, but with modifications.
