Geocache Dash

When: Sun., Feb. 15, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 2015

Do you know how to use GPS? You should. Survival aside, if you can use a GPS device, geocaching is cheap and fun. The organizer provides coordinates, and you hunt down the cache — usually a bucket with a sign-in sheet. If you're curious, Helping Humanity Club is doing a geocaching event today. Register online or at Memorial Park (331 S. Hancock Ave., meets at Pavilion B) between 9 and 10 a.m. The hunt for five caches throughout the city begins soon after, with prizes for the first to find each one and for the fastest completion. Bring your own device as well as wheels to get around. Find more info and sign up at tinyurl.com/mbdjd44. — Griffin Swartzell
