The Indy has reported the facts, as they're known, on the blue #olympiccityusa frame that was briefly installed in Garden of the Gods. For a full breakdown of the facts, click here.

On Wednesday, Dec. 20, local Bob Wearden sent the Indy arts desk his poetic response to the situation. We've printed it below, as it's somewhat indicative of the mass scorn the frame received upon its installation on Friday, Dec. 15.

"Frame Job"

Pikes Peak: framed in splendorous glory,
And everybody's loving it.
That should be the end of the story,
But somebody's improving it.

There it is: a frame job.
The people are contending it
But every City nabob
Is on TV defending it.

"A harmless little blue frame
Here in the land of the Ute,
To help in taking true aim
On your next photo shoot."

Well, thank you very kindly,
But it's a big boo-hiss,
For we're not clicking blindly...
And the Peak is hard to miss.

But if we have to go upscale
To help that high-speed click,
The rocks are looking somewhat pale.
Those camels need lipstick.

Well, that thought got derailed
In unceremonious fashion.
The people have prevailed.
They spoke out with a passion.

So much for the drama...
The de-frameization.
Still, see to that
Dromedary situation.
