Fort Carson welcomes 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade

The Army announced on May 18 the newly created 800-person 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade will be stationed at Fort Carson. Such specialized units focus on conducting advise-and-assist operations with allied and partner nations, a release noted. Carson commander Maj. Gen. Randy George said in a release the Mountain Post was chosen due to its "premier training range areas, excellent high-altitude location and extremely supportive community."
