If you’ve yet to solidify your weekend plans, there’s plenty to keep you busy at the Triple Nickel alone, and it’s all for a good cause. This Friday and Saturday, Aug. 24 and 25, hold the Nickel’s annual “Fuck Cancer Fundraiser Shows,” the proceeds from which will go directly to two local recipients to help with bills, medicine, recovery and family support.

The two-day affair features genre-spanning performers, including Salt of Sanguine, Chris Fogal of The Gamits, Grindscape, Ry Warner, thegoodmorningaccordionterrorist, Tejon Street Corner Thieves, Tigerwine, Kevin Mitchell, Dead Set and Saustro & the Fruity Loops. Shows start at 8 o’clock each night.

Anyone who’d like to donate art for a silent auction is encouraged to contact whatsleftrecords@gmail.com.
