Ensemble Peak FreQuency and Univ. of Alabama Music Dept. "Telematic Concert"

When: Wed., Nov. 5, 7:30-9:30 p.m. 2014

From the Metropolitan Opera to Monty Python, live theatrical simulcasts have become increasingly familiar terrain. But real-time collaborations between musicians from distant locations still happen rarely. This evening, the Peak FreQuency collective will be presenting a "Telematic concert," featuring Norwegian-French quartet Dans les Arbres performing on campus with a trio of faculty musicians from the University of Alabama live via Internet. Given the performers involved, you can expect the music to be at least as cutting-edge as the technology. Catch it at UCCS's Berger Hall (1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy., uccs.edu/peakfreq) at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free for UCCS students, with a suggested donation of $10 for the general public. — Bill Forman

Price: $10 suggested donations
