Eclectic Expressionist Paintings

When: Jan. 4-Feb. 28 2016

There’s very little we love more than art, but art for a good cause makes the cut. Right now, you can catch an exhibit of work by local painter Jacqueline Pearson and be confident that, when you buy one of her “eclectic expressionist” works, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project’s services for injured veterans. Pearson’s paintings are meant to “make us appreciate the beauty and wonder of things we may take for granted,” an appropriate sentiment for programs that support local artists and veterans. Through Feb. 28, East Library, 5550 N. Union Blvd., 531-6333. — Alissa Smith
