Dog Daze of Summer

When: Aug. 26-Sept. 14 2011

"Where else can you go on a Friday night with your dog to see art downtown?" A fair question, and one to which reps at Cottonwood Center for the Arts (427 E. Colorado Ave., would apparently reply: Nowhere. Nowhere else in our city's core, their press release seems to say, can you venture out with a leashed pup this evening to take in some visual delights. This may be true — and if so, what a pity — but we haven't called around to verify. So let's just say this: Nowhere else tonight will you see a free show like Dog Daze of Summer, featuring "pet portraits, steamy summer art and puppies galore." It opens at 5, and runs through Sept. 20. — Kirk Woundy
