Distinguished Speakers Series

When: Mon., Oct. 25, 12 p.m. 2010

When Native American author Sherman Alexie won the 2010 PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction earlier this year, one of the judges said War Dances, his latest book, "taps every vein and nerve, every tissue, every issue that quickens the current blood-pulse." The New Yorker calls him one of the Top 20 writers for the 21st century; you probably best recognize him from his 1998 film Smoke Signals. Visit his website fallsapart.com for an overwhelming amount of other accomplishments and praises, all of which will add up to you probably not wanting to miss his free, noontime lecture at CSU-Pueblo's Massari Arena (2220 Bonforte Blvd., Pueblo, 719/549-2586) today. — Matthew Schniper
